These spectacular arena performances are directed by Sam Bayer (”Wake Up Me When September Ends”, Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit”), combining political activism, rock opera and pantomime hilarity to demonstrate why Green Day are renowned as one of the biggest and best live acts performing today.

Touring off the back of their 12 million selling and critically acclaimed ‘American Idiot’ album, Green Day combine seven songs from this record, including ‘Holiday’, ‘Wake Me up when September Ends’ and ‘American Idiot’ with classic tracks from their extensive back catalogue, including ‘Basket Case’ and ‘Good Riddance (Time of your Life)’.

Bonus Material includes: exclusive backstage footage of Green Day as the band prepare for these landmark performances.

Green Day - Biography:

green-day-group-1

Punk rock trio Green Day formed in 1987. The band’s current line up includes Billie Joe Armstrong (vocals, guitar), Mike Dirnt (bass guitar, vocals) and Tré Cool (drums, percussion). Green Day was originally part of the punk rock scene in Berkeley, California. Early releases earned them a grassroots fanbase that rapidly expanded when their major label debut Dookie (1994) became a breakout success, selling over 15 million copies worldwide.

Three follow-up albums ensued, Insomniac, Nimrod and Warning, and, although not reaching the dizzying heights of Dookie, were still successful, reaching double platinum, double platinum, and gold status respectively. Green Day’s 2004 rock opera American Idiot reignited the band’s popularity with the younger generation and has sold 12 Million copies to date, the band’s eighth studio album, 21st Century Breakdown, was released in May 2009 to critical acclaim and commercial success.

These shows also marked the first time that Jay-Z appeared live with the band outside of the U.S. ‘Road to Revolution’ demonstrates the raw power and energy that have made Linkin Park one of the biggest rock acts performing today.

Playing a set encompassing all three of their studio albums, Linkin Park entertain the crowd by combining classic tracks from their back catalogue such as ‘In the End’, ‘One Step Closer’ and ‘Numb’, with collaborations with Jay Z and Mike Shinoda’s side project, Fort Minor.

Linkin Park - Biography:

linkin-park-group1

Linkin Park formed in Agoura Hills, California in 1996, the band has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide and have won two Grammy Awards, first achieving mainstream success with debut album, Hybrid Theory, which was certified Diamond by the RIAA in 2005. The following studio album, Meteora, continued the band’s success, topping the Billboard 200’s album charts in 2003, and was followed by extensive touring and charity work around the world. Having adapted the nu metal and rapcore genres to a radio-friendly yet densely-layered style in Hybrid Theory and Meteora, the band explored other genres on their next studio album, Minutes to Midnight which saw the band top the Billboard 200 once more. Linkin Park has collaborating with several other artists, most notably rapper Jay-Z on their mashup album Collision Course, and with many others on Reanimation.
