Jordan Rudess (Dream Theatre) Interview How you finding being in the UK?
Agent Blue Live in Liverpool 21st July 2004, Liverpool Academy
Pigstock Festival Denbigh 24 July 2004 Imagine a pub on the fringes of a town centre, with a decent plot of land at its rear and a bunch of enthusiastic, local music-lovers who possess a burning ambition to entertain the whole local population. Well, that’s what the annual Pigstock Music Festival is all about.
The Alarm Live in Manchester This was one of those last-minute affairs when a mate called me to ask if I wanted to accompany him to Manchester to see a show. When he told who was playing, I didn’t have to think too much about it. I’ve seen The Alarm play on several occasions, and have heard Mike Peter’s newest songs on record and in the flesh. With the ‘new’ band line-up including the drummer from James, bass player from Sisters of Mercy and the massive talents of guitarist James Stevenson (who has played with several notable bands), there are few better live performers around today.
The Good Life ALBUM OF THE YEAR. Saddle Creek This USA alternative indie rock band have a habit of creating very distinctive and excellent albums. Performing alongside label mates Azure Ray and Bright Eyes last year in Manchester, I was also mightily impressed with the band’s live quality. I would therefore be surprised if Tim Kasher’s band The Good Life were to produce a poor album. No surprises here then…
