End Of The Road Festival ‘12 INCLUDING BELLA UNION 15TH ANNIVERSARY SHOWCASE CELEBRATION FEATURING MANY OF THE LABEL’S ACTS (SEE LEFT HAND SIDE OF ABOVE POSTER) About End of the Road Festival You won’t get all the over hyped bands headlining The Larmer Tree Gardens (North Dorset/Wiltshire borders, UK) is the perfect venue to create this kind of atmosphere - where music-loving, open minded and chilled out people get together in the beautiful countryside whilst parrots and peacocks wander around! This is the kind of festival where the ENTIRE line-up is the headliner in itself! End of the Road festival takes a lot of pride in all the ‘little things’ that make a great festival, such as good food (organic and local where possible), good beer, caring and well-mannered staff, good site decorations, hygiene etc. We encourage band participation in all areas of the festival, and some acts will be invited to dj, present workshops and many other things besides. The festival has the kind of atmosphere which encourages collaboration and ’special’ events - in previous years we’ve seen acts such as I’m from Barcelona, Ed Harcourt, Josh Ritter, Herman Dune, Frida Hyvonen and Darrren Hayman all playing surprise sets in and around the festival site, as well as a few unexpected collaborations (thank you Ryan Adams who picked up the drum sticks for Jolie Holland’s set, and the Brakes/Seapower/Soft Parade boys). As one of the festival organisers is Swedish, there will also be a slight Scandinavian touch to the festival with the old Viking game Kubb that all festival goers are welcome to try out, as well as a Scandinavian showcase of up and coming Nordic talent. 2012 Line Up Grizzly Bear, Patti Smith, Grandaddy, Midlake, Beach House, Tindersticks, Dirty Three, Mark Lanegan Band, Van Dyke Parks, The Low Anthem, Graham Coxon, Anna Calvi, Villagers, Roy Harper, John Grant, The Antlers, Alabama Shakes, First Aid Kit, Jonathan Wilson, Patrick Watson, Woods, Justin Townes Earle, Jeffrey Lewis and the Junkyard, Robyn Hitchcock, Perfume Genius, William Elliott Whitmore, Willis Earl Beal, 2:54, Abi Wade, Abigail Washburn With Kai Welch, The Acron, Alessi’s Ark, Alt-J, Big Wave, Cashier No9, Cold Specks, Concrete Knives, Creature With The Atom Brain, Dark Dark Dark, The Deep Dark Woods, Deer Tick, Delicate Steve, Dirty Beaches, Doug Paisley, Driver Drive Faster, Francois & The Atlas Mountains, Eagle And The Worm, Frank Fairfield, Gravenhurst, Hannah Cohen, Horse Thief, Hurray For The Riff Raff, I Break Horses, Islet, King Charles, Lanterns On The Lake, Lawrence Arabia, Leif Vollebekk, The Lost Brothers, Luke Roberts, Marques Toliver, Moulettes, Mountain Man, My Sad Captains, Olympians, Our Broken Garden, Outfit, Peggy Sue, Peter Broderick, The Pictish Trail, Pinkunoizu, Poor Moon, Porcelain Raft, Richard Buckner, Robert Ellis, Savages, Seth Faergolzia, The Shivers, Sleep Party People, The Step Kids, Still Corners, Stranded Horse, Sweet Lights, Toy, Veronica Falls, Yeti Lane, Zachary Cale, Zun Zun Egui.
